What is up with the extra "tab" on the trigger connector?? I bought a 3.5 connector and installed it, I noticed the "tab and cut half of the tab off so the components would fit back together. Should I have cut it all the way off to look like the stock connector? My trigger seems to be not as spongy anymore and a tad lighter at the break point tho.

I believe that was your over-travel stop. It needs to be fitted to work correctly. Well I guess you did fit it in your own way......
All he have to do is to call Ghost and tell them that he srewed it up when fitting it, they'll send him a new-one for free, it's in the web-site, just someone have to read it ... :wavey:

Is this a joke?

Apparently, you didn't see the MAIN selling point of the Ghost Rocket connector. That tab is the best thing about your Ghost connector, and I have a feeling you likely cut it too short. You are supposed to cut that tab just short enough so the trigger will break. It removes all of the over-travel from the trigger. If trimmed properly, it makes it so that the trigger stops immediately when the trigger breaks. This stops you from pulling the sights off target when the trigger breaks. Luckily, Ghost will swap it for you. I think they will give you one free one if you mess up your first. If you want less over-travel, call them and swap it. Then, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!

They should have just made a drop in part. They probably do but thats the only one they had at my gun store. Guess I will see how it shoots. I'm just wanting a lighter trigger pull, I don't really care about over travel after the break its a range/target only gun.

I'm not a fan of the Ghost connectors. They are built pretty bad and they do not seem to do what they say they will. My advice is to get yourself a - connector (glock factory 4.5) or a lone wolf connector 3.5. OR you can get real with yourself and realize that I polished up light connector is only about one fourth of what you need to make a Glock trigger all it can be. I mean whats the point if your trigger bar, safety plunger and striker aren't polished up as well? Let me tell you what to do, go online and look at B&B Enterprise and contact Bobby Carver. Buy one of his 2# UL trigger kits or a 3# GSSF trigger kit and I GAURANTEE you that after you install it you will send me a thank you message.

When properly cut and installed, you will love it, especially on a range gun... Call them and talk to them, they were always nice to me...Most likely they'll just send you a new-one and you'll have the one with the over travel stop and the one without it to play ...

... You got me for a brief moment ... http://bb-enterprise.biz/item170168.ctlg ... $219 ... :wow:
If I was competitive shooter, probably would appreciate the advice, unfortunately I will never pay so much money for something that I can do for myself...And I'm saying it with all due respect to Bobby Carver, you and all the competitive shooters out there...

So I just pulled out my 23 and dry fired it a few times. As soon as it breaks my trigger stops. There doesn't seem to be any over travel... Maybe I got lucky and cut it right the first time??

I'm with you. I think somebody is having a bit of fun with us -- there's the picture and description before purchase, an instruction leaflet, and a pictorial instruction page on the Ghost website. Kinda hard to imagine having to ask that question on a gun forum.

Didn't think to look... I just assumed they were all drop in parts. New to the whole working on my gun thing. Guess I will learn.

You cant measure it accurately like that. You have to dry fire and hold the trigger (unloaded, of course). Keep holding the trigger and rack the slide......slowly release the trigger to see how much movement it takes to reset (when you hear the click).
IMHO - rocket is the best connector, i came across and i tried them all. Like someone said, done properly and it can really do wonders.

Most people buy theirs from off the website, sounds like you bought yours at a gun store? Because yeah... instructions do NOT come with them I don't think, have to go to the website for that.

I can see how you wouldn't have known.

They do make an exact "mate" to that one without the tab.

Maybe you did get lucky, and cut it pretty close. I LOVE my Ghost connector. Trust me, reducing over-travel REALLY helps, especially with a range/target gun. It eliminates the movement or vibration that comes from the break. If you didn't get it just right, just call Ghost, tell them what happened, and get them to send you another.

The reason they are not just drop-in is because of that tab. They make a drop-in version, but the Rocket is NOT drop-in. Drop-in connectors cannot reduce over-travel. They would make a drop-in version, but every gun is a tiny bit different. For best results, it must be fitted to the gun.

I improved my Glock trigger by putting 2k rounds through it, and then polishing the metal extensively with a Dremel, then soaking the parts in ballistol overnight.

When I re-assembled the gun back together, the trigger broke like glass.

I polished the firing pin block, all trigger bars and connectors, firing pin,

You can Google it as "Glock .25 cent trigger job"

and the added overnight soak in Ballistol really made a difference. The parts feel like they're made of fine marble.
