    Come home!!!

    https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2020/06/09/ghana-invites-african-americans-home/

Ghana, considered a gateway of the brutal slave trade to the United States that began more than 400 years ago, is urging “unwanted” Americans of African heritage to resettle within its borders in the wake of the police killing of Minnesota resident George Floyd.

During a memorial and wreath-laying ceremony in honor of Floyd last Friday, Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Barbara Oteng-Gyasi invited African Americans to “re-settle in Ghana if they feel unwanted” in the United States, the Independent Ghana news outlet reported.

We continue to open our arms and invite all our brothers and sisters home. Ghana is your home. Africa is your home. We have our arms wide open ready to welcome you home. Please take advantage, come home build a life in Ghana, you do not have to stay where you are not wanted forever, you have a choice and Africa is waiting for you.

So... how long before Jay-Z and Beyonce sell their place in Beverly Hills and move to Africa???

I encourage all Democrats to take this up. I hear there is a lot of coastal real estate and the wildlife is incredible. It's that liberal utopia you've been talking about.

After the civil war, people used to donate to this cause . . . just sayin' - Go Fund Me.

BTW, Ghana, the place where Nancy Pelosi's kente cloth originated, is also the place where slavery started. The Portuguese went to Ghana a few centuries ago, looking for gold. When they got there they discovered that the Ghanans had slaves and somebody realized the slaves could also be valuable and bought some. Then the British and Dutch came to Ghana and bought slaves . . . and that's how the slave trade by Europeans got started. Not the first or only slave trade, but the one everybody is still crying about. I'll bet you can still buy a slave in Ghana.

Did they mention who it was that originally captured the people then sold as slaves?

They always seem to leave that part out.

"It was the Africans themselves who were enslaving their fellow Africans, sending them to the coast to be shipped outside," says researcher Akosua Perbi of the University of Ghana.

Based on her studies, Perbi says that European slave traders, almost without exception, did not themselves capture slaves. They bought them from other Africans, usually kings or chiefs or wealthy merchants.

The question is, why did Africans sell their own people?

For a thousand years before Europeans arrived in Africa, slaves were commonly sold and taken by caravans north across the Sahara.

"Slavery did exist in Africa," says Irene Odotei of the University of Ghana.

In many African cultures, slavery was an accepted domestic practice"

In another thread I thought that I had said something about that particular Kente cloth standing for Kingship and Slaveowners.

Isn’t slavery still actively practiced in many Islamic regions? No one gives two cents about any of that. But here it is this big club used by some who insist on taking every opportunity to wield the past like some crude weapon and try to knock everyone else down to their level. As long as these guilty parties continue to wallow in ancient history and repeatedly attempt to weaponize it, they will remain stuck in a time from before they were even born.

If people born in the USA, regardless of race or ethnicity, are honest, they would admit that being born in the USA (or western countries that have mainly Western European heritage/governments) is like wining a huge prize.

7.8 Billion People. 330M Americans. Only 4% of the world population is born in USA and all the opportunity that brings with it.

Tell me any other place on earth where any race / ethnicity has as good of living standard and the people have as much opportunity to succeed as the USA?

I support it. On the negative side, we lose 13% of the population. However, the 50% crime reduction might make it worth it. It would result in an improvement to social cohesion to boot.
