Saw a G19 Gen 2 (no finger grooves) at my LGS today and looks to be in mint condition. I would like to ask if there are things I should be aware of or look for. Also, what would be considered a good price for one? This one comes with 2 Preban mags and original box.

Thanks!

Early G19's had a thinner slide lock spring which was prone to breaking, there's a new thicker version that's much more durable. If the one you're considering buying has the old thin version I'd replace it with the new thick version.

The old thin spring is on the left, the new thick spring is on the right:

$400 if you kept it as is, I shoot GS24XUS, never replaced anything, have not broken anything (yet) at least 5-7,000 rds down range.

You havn't bought it yet? I would.
I normally would, but just bought 3 other guns this month alone. I already have a G19 Gen 4. I was looking at this more as a collector. Really, really tempting.

The price is $400 OTD. The condition is mint, copper grease still in the slide.

I'd do that about instantly. I'm not sure that it would gain much in the next few years as a collectible but I am also sure that whether you shoot it or not you would be able to get that back in the next few years.

Good point. I might have to sell one to get this. It's just a matter of me wanting it bad enough to sell one from my collection. I don't normally buy just because it's a collectible and normally shoot the heck out of anything I buy. This one just looks too good of a condition to do that.

There was another Gen 2 in the same condition but its a G17 with an original Glock light/laser.

Decisions, decisions...

I had to replace my Gen2 G19 slide lock spring this past year. I bought my gun in 1989.

If it were me, I'd replace the RSA & springs to give me peace of mind. If you're really concerned, try to find a local Glock Armorer to inspect it.

Thanks for the tips. I'll check next week and see if it's still there (I need to build funds). Apparently, it's been sitting there for over a month with no takers. I just happened to look in that direction and saw it inconspicously place where people would normally miss it. They also have a ton of cool stuff so people don't even look in that area.
