This is my third G26 Gen 4, my primary CCW, love this gun. A few weeks back was at my LGS and he offered an excellent price to me, sold!

Note that this is my first G26 Gen 4 made in the USA. Gotta say I love seeing that on the slide. Installed a Varidian Green Laser, extended slide release, Glock OEM Steel Combat Sights and grip plug.

    Range Report:
200 Rounds (American Eagle 115 grain FMJ)
    No FTF's
    No FTE's
No Brass to face or top of head
Crisp and clean trigger break at 5.5lbs measured
    Accurate out to 21' (7 yard's)

It did what I expected, squeeze trigger, go bang!

Nice and Congrats, I think the USA made QC is excellent. I really like seeing positive posts about good results with new hardware.

Congrats on your new addition. The G26 Gen 4 is my favorite 9mm GLOCK. Excellent range report, glad to see, and not really surprised that you had no issues with your new G26. Be safe and enjoy your new G26.

Mine is made in Austria, but I am quite attached to it.

No worries, next range trip it will get worked out to 25 yards, trust me. That's what I love about the G26 is that it shoots well, like a full size, out to distance. For a new gun, particularly a sub-compact, for first range trip, I always start at 15', then take it out to 21'. If everything is on at that point, I'm good to go.

Although distances here seem suspect, possibly typos, the (3) gen 3 26's I have are POA/POI out to 47 yards regardless of bullet weight(90,115,124 or 147). If you do your part so will the 26. Beyond 50 yards the 9mm starts its rainbow trajectory.

Now I see it, sorry all, it was 21 feet, corrections made. I had it in inches which clearly was not the case, my bad.

I think it was posted here, an article about a media tour through their US plant. Everything, and I mean everything, is an exact replica of their Austria plant.

Yes, range reports on GLOCKS can be boring - and I'm fine with that! I'm in the camp that goes with a G19, believing there isn't enough difference. BUT - if for some weird reason there were only 26s in the world, I'd still be very happy and confident. When I had a 26 years ago, I was AMAZED at the 25+ yard accuracy. The first time I reeled the target on the indoor range, I couldn't believe the accuracy. Great gun!

On another note, my choice in lasers is the kind that are activated by a button on the grip; it turns on the minute I grab the gun without having to think about it. I've often wondered how "intuitive" it is to activate the kind of laser you went with. Do you think in a high stress situation you'd be able to activate it? I think I'd prefer your type of laser overall, but just wondering if I'd miss the grip activation feature. Thanks and good luck with the 26.

Thanks Jack. I agree with your comment on lasers and ability to activate them in a stress situation. That's why I went with the Viridian Reactor ECR (Enhanced Combat Readiness). The laser is left on and when holstered, a magnet in the holster turns it off. When you draw, once it leaves the holster, the laser automatically turns back on. So no buttons to push, can't get simpler than that.

Here's a pic of the holster that comes with the laser:

I really like the Pearce extension on my 26. It adds enough length that it does not print like it is longer.

I sure like the G26.... but much prefer my little G43, (and actually, if my clothing allows it, my G29SF gets carried even over my G43)

Still, good report, enjoy your new baby! And I recommend finding out whether your G26 is accurate past 7y ---- I mean, who uses FEET to measure shooting distances? It should be in yards, sir!! ;-P

Many do like the extensions. For me, not a fan for 2 reasons: 1) My little finger actually gets pinched between the front bottom of the frame and the top of the extension. 2) I actually shoot the G26 better without an extension, go figure. Thanks for the suggestion though.
