Plenty of reasons for the looney left to show up in Cleveland and riot, to cause the cancellation of the debate.

There is no way to back out without destroying Biden’s thin remaining credibility. It’s the most important election in many, many years, and they’re competing for the most “essential” job in the country; willingness to accept some risk is required.

A virtual debate arrangement eliminates Covid risks. It’s impossible for Biden to hide. His refusal to face off with Trump would be fatal.

The Democrat Socialist Nazi controlled media would day after day spew forth that cancelling any debates would be absolutely necessary.
They would claim any information needed will be provided by them. The Donald is POS and Dementia Joe will restore the country to order. Nothing to see in any dangerous debates.

One of the many Biden videos that should be required watching. In the 80's even the liberal press was concerned about a lying politician. Today 99% of the press would make excuses for Biden's lies. Biden has been lying from the beginning. There are so many that are never talked about.

    Example:
“When I marched in the civil rights movement, I did not march with a 12-point program,” Mr. Biden thundered, testing his presidential message in February 1987 before a New Hampshire audience. “I marched with tens of thousands of others to change attitudes. And we changed attitudes.”

More than once, advisers had gently reminded Mr. Biden of the problem with this formulation: He had not actually marched during the civil rights movement. And more than once, Mr. Biden assured them he understood — and kept telling the story anyway.

Joe is stupid, but not that stupid, he won't debate President Trump. It would be great fun to watch though.

There it is again. The mistaken thought Dementia Joe can make a decision for himself. DJ’s handlers will never let him make any public appearance more than 5 minutes. His wife must have something wrong with her also to let Dementia Joe keep up this farce.

Debates have been important to the outcome of Presidential elections since 1960 (Nixon v. Kennedy). The American people, Rs and Ds, expect to see them, especially since campaigning has been curtailed by the virus.

This is a contest for the most important job in the world at a time when the ideological foundations of the candidates are polar opposites.

The country is at a tipping point. Seeing and hearing them explain and defend their policies, one directly against the other, is essential and can’t be brushed aside.

    Everything you said is correct.
The Democrat Socialist Nazis want the power at any cost. They don’t give a rip about history. They will use the current turmoil to conceal their empty shell candidate. The behind the scenes “progressives” know that DJ will be their puppet.
No way the mob will let Dementia Joe debate

The “Socialist Nazis” aren’t in control, even with the main stream propaganda machine on their side.

Republicans, moderate Dems and Independents have a say in this too. I include Dems who are fearful of Socialism, defunding police, rioting, destroying public and private property; not all Dems are Left wing radicals.

We, the rational people, represent the majority, by far.
    Rational Americans will demand debates.

The Biden campaign had a controlled practice run on 6/30/2020, his first press conference in 89 days, yes that's three months. It was a very controlled experiment with teleprompters followed by questions from the campaign's traveling press corps. Biden even mentioned he would take questions and said he had to get his list, his list of ''journalist '' that were pre planned to ask questions. It all went as planned until he went over time and started taking random questions. It was immediately evident he didn't have the pre-answers for these questions. He became a bumbling idiot. There is no way he could handle 2-3 hours of debate questions unless he had the answers before. It will still be difficult without the teleprompter or ear piece.

    Article:

Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden took questions from reporters at a press conference for the first time in almost three months on Tuesday, giving new insight into his views on the fast-moving political and cultural debates around race in the U.S.

Biden took 15 questions over the course of 30 minutes inside a gymnasium in Wilmington, Del., where a small group of socially distanced reporters were given access to his speech on how to address the coronavirus pandemic.

The former vice president has given scores of interviews to individual media outlets since the coronavirus lockdown began in late March, many of them with local broadcast affiliates. He recently started keeping a light travel schedule with speeches and roundtable events in Texas and Pennsylvania.

Tuesday’s press conference marked the first time Biden has responded to questions from the campaign’s traveling press corps in 89 days. CBS News correspondent Ed O’Keefe told Biden that “we all hope that you continue to do this through November as often as possible.”

Yeah, but he can play the 'victim' card and get sympathy votes.

Truth! The Dem faithful have followed him this far and shouldn't expect them to turn.

Biden debating would be worse for his campaign than backing out of the debates. Also, the media will cover for him.
