Combat Armory s selling fully assembled lowers for $100, fully assembled uppers for $190 and Bcg/charging handle package for $70. All are from Radical Firearms. All with free shipping. That's $360.

Radical Firearms Complete AR-15 Lower Receiver (price went up $10 from earlier this week)

I've got a 16" MLOk RF that has been a joy to shoot. It's been far to0 long to recall what I paid for it but I'm certain it was under $300.

psa…..low quality knockoffs of actual tier 1 versions.

70% of which will need to be sent back for warranty repairs.

Yeah, not really.

I've got their GF3 AK, and a handful of lowers and uppers that have past the 1000 mark without issue.

None of them try to be anything they aren't.

Best in class? Yes, best available? No.

Nothing but a charging handle sent back for warranty.

Does someone know if lower can be used as a pistol lower by removing the stock and replacing with a pistol brace before dealer transfer?
As long as it started life as a “pistol” it can become a rifle. A “rifle” can’t (legally) be turned into a pistol. As long as you don’t tell anyone it will never matter. Some people mark lowers with pistol.

Same deal, several PSA AR-15’s and a 308 AR with zero problems. Broke the extractor on the 308. Replaced it with a Wyndham brand, works 100% still

Lowers transfer as “other”. They do not transfer as pistols or rifles. Thus, you can take the stock off, and put a pistol stabilizer brace on. As far as I know.

For piece of mind just buy a lower from them that already has a pistol brace, or a stripped lower and build what you want.

That is not accurate. I have 3 of them. They all have several thousand rounds through them without a single hiccup. The quality has been impressive. Have you ever owned one?

I only have one but like yours mine has never failed. It also has quite a few rounds through it.
I think the reason people don't like PSA is that the gun they paid twice the amount for isn't any better and it doesn't sit well.

Pretty much.

We use PSA 's that we built as loaner/ rental guns for our shooting school and they have performed just fine;

The full-auto rental range near Vegas uses PSA select fire builds ( they are a SOT) as full-auto rentals, and their builds, which are used about as hard as a gun will ever be run, have held up just fine as well....

As long as it wasn't assembled as a rifle first, you can take the stock off and use it as a pistol (with or without a brace). In other words, it you buy just the lower you can take the stock off and assemble it as a pistol first.

It can be proved that you assembled a pistol from a rifle even if you don't "tell anybody" - so I would not say it will never matter. People have been caught and prosecuted for doing this.

If the lower were sold assembled as a rifle, the 4473 will state "rifle" as well as the manufacturer's/distributor's/dealer's records. If you assemble a pistol from a lower that was sold as a rifle in the paperwork*, you can be caught, charged and convicted of a federal gun crime - it has happened. The SN, documentation as originally a rifle and the pistol configuration as discovered is all that is needed to prosecute.

What are your chances of being "caught" ? I'd say it depends upon where you live and what you do.

*Even if it was a lower only, with "rifle"marked on the 4473 - which would be incorrect - but some FFLs have done this. When sold as a lower only, it should be marked "other".)
