Gee, I'm happy if my Cockapoo obeys me 80% of the time.

Love Shepherds, but in FL, the shedding is out of control.

Hell, I'm in northern MI and it's out of control. I could almost fill a pillowcase with what the old guy in my avatar drops every day. You have to love the breed to put up with the shedding.

GSD's shed no matter the state they live in I'd say, my house looks like it has tumble weeds blowing across the desert if we don't vacuum all the time. I just don't see how my dog still has hair, could make toupee's for at least 500 people a year from her shedded hair.

    German shedder.

Wouldn't trade mine for the world. Most loyal dog I've ever owned.

My first though was that Bruno took one of the boys or girls to Westminster! Good looking Shepherd.

I had a German Shepherd and the hair is unbelievable. I really miss that big goof. My current canine is a Japanese Akita and she is even more of a fur factory than the GSD. The Akita blows her coat at least 2 to 4 times a year in addition to the regular normal shedding.

You just have to love your dogs!

Mike has a Blue Heeler....I moved the couch to vacuum yesterday....swear there was enough hair under there for a second dog.

I solved that problem. I raised my couch one inch; and now the Roomba can get under there to do its thing.

Great dogs, but the european conformations without the sloped back are my preference.

Miss our GSD, but not the fur.....She was only 60 # but if anyone came near me or my wife you'd thing she was 200#, could walk anywhere with that dog and people cross the street.
Lived to 13 years then her hips went bad....one of the worst days of our lives...you know what I mean...
Now our Silky thinks he is a GSD, and at 10 # he's pretty scary....(Rescue 2 1/2 years ago now 9 years old)
Now for the hard part, in late November we noticed that his right eye was red, bottom line, it had cancer, and had to be removed.....now 2 months later he has lost the sight in his left eye.
Not bad enough we had a chest xray and the cancer has spread to his lungs....so, we have him home and will keep him comfortable till he is in pain....my poor baby....

I'm happy to see a GSD win as well. Mine also tend to shed alot.

I really wish they would show the German lines instead of American breeding. The sloped back and bad hips are not good for the dog
