I have a g26 and would like to buy 2 more mags for now just for when i go to the shooting range and for backup. I may carry these on me but as of now i have been carrying 10+1 unless in my vehicle when its easy to have a second mag. So the question is should i buy a 15 or 17 round mag? I am not doing any grip extensions or anything like that i just want some "backups" or "extras" with more round capacity. Opinions are appreciated! Also if you are able, post a picture of your g19 or g17 mags in your g26 for comparison sake. AND, if you prefer shorter or longer please explain WHY. Thanks!

G17 magazines are not much longer then G19 magazines and are more useful in that they fit in the G17 and G34 in addition to the G19.

When I was building my defense handgun battery, I opted for the G19 (instead of the G17) as the main gun. So I ended up with 2 G19 and 1 G26. So naturally all my extra mags are for the G19.

I always have a 15-round G19 mag. on my belt. So it doesn't matter if I'm CCWing the G19 or the G26. I don't have to worry that I'm accidently carrying a spare G26 mag while CCWing a G19.

For the range I just grab my range bag, which includes a bunch of 10-round G19 mags (which I bought real cheap 1 day after the gun bill sunsetted in 2004).
