Has anyone compared a Gen4 mag release side by side to a Gen3 release to see what it would take to make a Gen4 release fit in a Gen3 gun?

Everything about it is different. You'd likely have to do some major chewing on the frame in order to get it to work.

Do you want something like this for the ambi feature, or the extended length? There are some good aftermarket mag catches that extend back. Lone Wolf has an extended version that requires a cut be made to the frame.

Yeah, found some better pics to compare. I see the back side is larger on the Gen3. I've seen the Southwest Weapons one but you have to send in your frame and let them put it in. I'll look for the LWD release.

Lone Wolf makes a round mag catch & will modify your frame for it.

Cause TopGlock had Gen4 releases on clearance for about $3.50.
