Ed's Public Safety just announced they've received a shipment of the Gen4 model 17.

"The Gen 4 Model 17's hit the dock today. A couple of notes from a quick inspection. The Gen 4 17 incorporates all of the changes seen on the Gen 4 model 22's, It has the dual recoil spring setup, the reversible mag catch, the RTF 3 finish and the Modular BackStrap (MBS) frame. The ejector pin is angeled in just like it is on a gen 3 model 17."

What is the advantage of the dual recoil spring?

I really don't understand how this will reduce felt recoil? I would like to see a side by side review of the 3rd Gen and the 4th Gen.

    Thanks for the info though!

I think we'll have to wait until March/April for that:crying:. If I buy another Glock I will be waiting for Gen 4.
