Any differences other than the cutout on each side for the gen4's? Are they still making both kinds of mags?

I'm assuming each mag will work with either gen. Looking for some info.

All of the recent new Glocks I've seen have been shipped with the mags with ambidextrous cutouts (Gen4-type), even the Gen3's.

You're correct. Unless you have a Gen 4 and, you have reversed the magazine catch.

The follower in the Gen4 mag is different also.

I highly doubt it since the Gen4 mags work in all generations of Glocks.

Someone said the Gen 4 mags stick out the bottom of the grip just a little further, even when used on a Gen 3 gun. Is that correct?
