I can get a police trade Gen1 G23 with night sights and 2 mags for $449.00 no tax, mint condition, I have been thinking about another GLOCK for the last few months. I have a 32 and a 19 was almost thinking about a 26 to go with them but this G23 seems like a good deal? And yes I know I could just get a barrel for the 32, but I hear so much about the older GLOCKS being really great? I also am not sure if I like the direction that the new GLOCKS are headed toward?

Things I should now about them? Any one with options? lets hear them!
    Yes or No? :dunno:

And thanks hickok for your help!

I don't know about you, but that is way too much for a Gen1 unless you are getting it for collector or sentimental reasons. You an almost get a new 3rd gen for that.

They are tad higher around here, at least with night sights?
But I do appreciate your input for sure!
Any one else have some ideas please let me know?
And no I am not locked in for sure on it, I have entertained some thought on a brand new one just not sure what yet? My others are 3rd Gens. I am just fishing for ideas and experiences of others I guess.

Yup, that's not a great price. If the night sights are new, that's a little better, and.....it's a Gen 2.

    Thanks Butch!
Gen 2 I guess? I need to go back and look more, (and haggle if I decide to close in on it)!

I agree that's waay too high for a Gen 1 even if it was brand new..... I would say to get the G23 RTF if you haven't held it go out and try to find one you can feel... I really like the RTF. Alot of people on here say it's too rough it hurts my hands, but I couldn't disagree more it's the perfect texture for me personally. As far as the quality I have had no problems with my gen 3s or my rtf (technically a gen 3 too) Also check out gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com. There has to be a better deal out there

Cool, thanks for the heads up! Unless i can get it down a lot more I guess I won't get it. It's not driving me nuts I am not hurting on guns, just wanting something else to add.

I thought the only gen one guns were 17s and a few 19s. Best guess is it is a gen 2 23

    None of your damn business!!
My G17 1st generation (I know its not the same model) cost me $375 total it was used but very little. That is a little high for that G23 your looking at.
A local FFL has another G17 1st gen. for $399:upeyes: that has seen a lot of use. Its in good condition but still even that is a little high.

    I would keep looking around.

A 2nd or 3rd gen will have all the updated internals. You may want that in a .40 cal G23.:wavey:

That's expensive, you should be able to find a better deal, unless to HAVE to have a gen 1 model.

Price seems high to me. I can get (with discount) a new Glock for that.
