I am having a hard time finding much information in the way of the Ameriglo factory sights on the Gen 5’s.

Anyone have them? Is it worth it? Pics? How is the quality control, is it as bad as the misaligned rear plastics we keep reading about?

I've purchased four Gen 5s, one with the Ameriglo, three with plastic sights. They've all come in, in perfect condition, sights are spot on. Don't believe everything you read on gun forums. :)

Didn't I read that the variation of the Ameriglo sights on the Gen 5 is now a Glock exclusive, perhaps that Glock purchased the exclusive rights to those?

You can find a lot of photos of them. Use "Google Images" and search under Glock Gen 5 Ameriglo.

I have Ameriglos on my Gen 5 19. The pic does the front sight no justice as they are very visible in person. They work extremely well in daylight and dusk for ease of target acquisition especially while practicing on multiple targets and speed shooting. I love them. When night shooting they work just as well as the Trijicons I have on my duty gun.

Also, mine were lined up perfectly from the factory. So was a co-worker's 19.

I'm still trying to get a handle on what the point of aim is with the Ameriglos. They seem, for me at least, to have a POA lower than I expect. Is it a 6 or 12 hold on them?

They are suppose to be POA/POI with the top edge of the sights at 25 yards.

I have the Bolds on my 19.5. I ordered them without being able to see them in person beforehand. The Bolds don't appear quite as "bold" in terms of luminescence in regular daylight as the Trijicons on my other 19 did when they were new. However, in a darkened room, the Bolds are quite visible. The orange ring on the front definitely draws your attention in the daylight.

Overall, I think they are a good sight set and worth consideration. I'm pleased with them.

Ameriglo hackathorns are the same sight without the rear tritium vial but they have a serrated rear. Front sight is the same. They sell for $55 on eBay. Much cheaper route than buying from glock and having to straighten them out like on my 5 that I just sold

For me the Ameriglo Bolds are a "drive the dot" type of hold on my 17.5.

Sight picture 2 is great for most pistols. Sight picture 1 is great for bullseye shooting.
Sight picture 3 sucks when shooting at distant small targets.

My Gen 5 G-19 came with Glock night sights, and they work just fine, but I changing them out for a set of Tru-Glo TFX-PROS, my new Gen 5 G-17 came with Ameriglow night sights and they're right on too...I've never had or seen any of the sight problems that are being talked about, all my 6 Gen 4's were perfect also...

I emailed Ameriglo about getting a set of the Bolds here's their response

" Thank you for your interest in AmeriGlo Firearm Sights. We are not currently making the I-Dot BOLD sights nor do we have plans. Interesting concept though.

    Have a great weekend,

I ended up getting some Ameriglo I-dots from Amazon for $60bucks for my Gen5 G19 that came with the stock Glock sights. There my favorite sights tied with the Trijicon HDs. I actually think the Ameriglos are more accurate at longer distances and you can't beat the price.
