Just purchased a Gen 5 34. It has the factory Glock sights. I want to put fiber optic sights in front and plain black in rear. What hight should I get in the front sight. And do I get a specific hight for a specific bullet weight. The Dawson web site has the front sight height at .215. Doing some research online, people say they are running either .235 or .245. I am confused.

I run the same pistol in production. I put on a set of Bob Vogel sights, currently $80 on Amazon. Been very happy with the set up .

.215" front is standard, anything taller will shoot very low.

Putting a taller sight in would make the gun shoot higher not lower

A higher front sight will cause the gun to shoot lower, a higher rear sight will cause the gun to shoot higher.

As the front sight goes up in height the barrel moves downward to maintain a straight line of sight to the target.

Sorry wasn’t thinking. I misread your post. Thanks for correcting me. To make POI go higher you put in a higher sight, to make it lower you put in a lower sight. That’s what I was thinking.

JFYI the Dawson site I have is .205" tall
says to use with Dawson or Warren rear sight..
That's .010" shorter than the site size given above? Makes me wonder now?
