Thanks for sharing! But to be honest... I prefer the G22RTF over the 4th gen... I think the only thing going for the 4th gen is the double string guide rod and 3 mags coming with it. I'll go with the 3rd gen until a G19 4th gen decides to come out.

I wondering if the 3 custom grips will come with each gun or its optional, like it shows/said on the cover?

I take it you don't visit GT very often.

Yes, the 4th gens come with 2 removable backstraps.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt....Maybe you missed the other 100 posts on this.

It's actually old news now. Many of us already own the Gen4.

I handled one today and I have to say I was pretty disapointed.

I guess I was expecting a lot more.

Its hard to improve on one of the best combat pistols available. Just my opinion.

I handled one today at my local gun store and I can say it felt great. Better texture on the grip (the rtf was worse), better mag release button.. don't know why Glock didn't change the slide serrations on this 4th gen model, cuz to be honest they were the only good thing on the rtf models. The 4th gen G17 comes with the standard slide release, not with the extended(as pictured here) Anyways, I'm very satisfied with the improvements they made and probably a G17 or a G19 in 4th Gen will be my next purchase. I don't care much about the interchangeable backstraps. That default size fits me just fine

I changed the slide release to the extended. I actually prefer the RTF2 Feel over the Gen4 feel (Texture wise) But, overall, the Gen4 is a great gun, like all the rest of the Glocks.

    2mm difference

    No grip addition is SF
Medium adds 2mm to the Grip, which makes it the regular size
Large adds 4mm to the Grip

You probably have RTF capable hands :tongueout:. I find the RTF little bit "too rough" on my hands. But the new 4th gen texture...perfect - like made for me .

I still like my gen 3's better. The gen 4's will take time to grow on me.
