Does anyone know if Gen 4 Glock recoil springs will fit into a gen 3 gun?

Also, does anyone know when Glock will come out with the model 38 gen 4?

I can't find this information on the Glock web site.

No you cannot use a G4 spring in the G3s.

The cutout on the underside of the slide is bigger on the Gen 4 to accommodate the front circular plate, which is bigger than the ones in the Gen 3's. I do believe that you could take a Gen 4 upper and put it on a Gen 3 frame, however.

With Glock the only way we'll find out is when they start showing up on store shelves. The blue label(LE/MIL/GSSF) models are usually the first release with civilian packaged ones coming out about a month later.
