Go to your WalMart and get a bunch of Winchester White Box 115gr FMJRN.

Congratulations on the g27, very nice gun
Ammo doesn't really matter for range to me. Just stick with some good quality factory loaded ammo that you can get at Walmart, big box store, lgs.

I prefer to avoid some foreign ammo not because it doesn't work okay mostly because it tends to be a little dirtier than others.

    Have fun, be safe

It's actually boxes of 180gr fmj. Wally usually has 100 for 25 bucks of Federal.

    Whooaaa.....
    115gr is for a 9mm!
I guess you would have figured that out while actually shopping for ammo.....

The most common for .40 will be 155 or 165gr, and 180gr..

The G27 is one of the "best" subcompact pistols in the world!

I buy brass cased reloads at my local gun shows or from my rangemaster (no steel cased ammo for me). A company called BVAC makes pretty good reloads, and so does RBS and Freedom. Stay away from steel cased ammo, be weary of "re-manufactured" ammo. Most factory reloads are decent, but some are to be avoided and most salesman will be able to tell you which ones are which. For .40 SW I paid $59.99 for 250 rounds of 180gr brass cased FMJ.

Wallmart doesn't deserve our business. You can find plenty of other places to find good deals.

I too just picked up a Gen 4 G27 a few weeks back...but that 100 rd box of Federal @ Wallyworld was a bit closer to $30 before taxes. To the OP: I had 0 issues with that ammo, I put 50 rounds through my pistol last Saturday.

Congrats! My 27 is my edc. It goes everywhere with me except the shower, and it could even go there if I wanted. Welcome to the club!
