So I took the Plunge and bought a New Gen 4 G19 despite all the bad stuff going around here!! I plan on taking it to the range tomorrow! Although this is the first gen 4 I have got my hands on I like the grip texture and the bigger Mag Release.. No backstrap doesn't fell any smaller than my gen3 though? I'm not sure how I feel about the slide finish but I think I like the shinny gen 3 better. Anyways it has the 0 4 spring and is an REV serial# with test shells fired 2/10/11. I assume that is an early model and I am nervious about it having problems! I KNOW GLOCK WILL FIX BUT I REALLY DON'T WANT TO SEND MY NEW GUN IN!!! I NEED GOOD KARMA GLOCKERS PRAY FOR ME!!

I think the majority of the Gen4 guns are GTG, and now that Glock seems to have a handle on the problem, they will be able to take care of it if it does have issues.

I ran a magazine of 124 grain jacketed hollow points through mine and have used 115 grain WW and S&B since then with one FTF, and that was operator error.

I say dont worry about it and go shoot the hell out it. If you worry to much about it you will not enjoy it when you do get the chance to shoot it ,because you will be concentrating to much on a problem you think will be there.

What you need is a proper two handed grip, stance and posture as well as 200 rounds of real ammo like Winchester USA 115-gr or 124-gr NATO Spec. Mine functions perfectly with the original 03 spring from August 2010.

The only guns that had problems at qualification the other day were a couple of Gen3 G19's.

Dammit quit leaving us hanging! :) I wanna know how the range session went! I sent my RRX prefix G19 lower off to Glock today for the updated 30274 ejector to replace my 336. I really can't wait to get it back. I've spent the last few days looking for a suitable alternative to the G19, and I simply cannot find one that fits the bill. I hope it's flawless when I get it back! Sending good vibes your way.

Just got back from the range! Put 50 rounds of 124gr Winchester and 100rds of Seller Bellot 115gr thru the 19. All was ok.. I had 1 Fail to Feed? Ejections were good... All in All I am happy with the way it preformed. I will keep my fingers crossed for the future! Thanks for the good Karma Glockers and Glock Gods! It wasn't a perfect session but it could have gone A lot worse!

:phew:

New RSA is on its way.. I called Glock before the range! Just in case

Have thought about taking the plunge, and had the same apprehensions as well. How does one know if the Gen4 they're purchasing has the new extractor or not?
