I did a little research, found people on both sides of the fence about it. Am I good to go with the gen 3 bar in my gen 4?

Yes but check the trigger bar/firing pin for correct contact.

I use a gen 3 triggerbar in my three Gen4's. They all have good contact and function properly.

    It's fine, I've put Gen3's in my Gen 4's.

    Thanks

whats the difference look like between correct and incorrect contact?

or does correct contact just mean the 2 parts are making contact in general.

I have a gen 3 ghost trigger in my gen4 27 and it works fine. What you have to look for is that the lobe at the top actually disengages the striker safety. If it doesn't you will know because it won't fire.

Tried one in my G26 and it made the trigger crappy. Adding a Gen4 G17 trigger bar instead, I was more concerned about a non serrated trigger than the bump.
