Stopped by Gander Mountain today to pick up some scope rings and a sling swivel. Looked at the 1911 case and

Dang GM I could snag a Brown or Baer for that much.....I guess that 1911 will be sitting in the case for a while.

I remember when GM had good prices on firearms....I mean it was 7-8 years ago but not anymore.

    Yeah, those guys are nuts.

It truly amazes me that some people are STUPID enough to buy guns there. That pic alone causes my blood pressure to go up 10 points. :steamed:

That 1 for $799 seems kinda steep. But the 2 for $499 is a good deal.

That's enough to make me never step foot in their store again. That's pathetic. And a close up look at TRUE gouging and shows what they think of their customers.

All I spent was $61 and I swear I still felt kinda "funny and tingly" in my bottom when I left just by looking at those 1911s :wow:

I felt like "Ned Betty in Deliverance" when I left there and just don't fully recall why....:crying:

I did get one of these, sweet little addition to the gun safe. I almost lost a toe a few weeks ago when a AR15 attacked my foot when it slipped and fell as it was leaning against the wall :crying:

Uses magnets to stick to the side of the safe.
    Works very very well.

But dang it MSRP on the website is $17.99 and I paid $19.99 at GM! They did "Ned Beatty" me, I knew I felt cheap and ashamed!!!!!

Thanks, but that is a product pic from the item I was linking in my post. You know like the blond hottie in the picture frame when you buy the frame from the store. But hey if I can claim the O/U from that pic then I am claiming her as well!

There are a lot of people in this world with more money than brains. Someone will walk into that store looking for a "high end" gun and the bro behind the counter will tell them "Its the best" and it will be sold. Also there are plenty of people who will just buy it at that price because they want it now. My dumbass cousin is a prime example of this. He paid 699 plus tax for a Glock 17 because they had one at the store. He could have paid $480 plus tax from the basement ffl down the street and waited 5 or 6 days, but no he had to have it now.

I go to GM indoor bow rang only, I don't buy anything because they are too high on everything.

Gander is usually where I go to check things out before I buy them from someone else online. It takes a lot of self control to not tell everyone at the gun counter that they are being ripped off. It is a free market though, and we all know what they say about a fool and his money...

GM has always been 20-25% higher than "normal" shops

Here's the only thing I've seen at GM that was a "deal". And I bought it on the spot.
