Who out there has a G98?????? Anybody???? I doubt it!
Never heard one
Once upon a time, I had a G98 (Gewehr 98) that had been re-arsenaled by the Turks.
I have two of them. One a 1915 & a 1916
Sorry, I don't have any pictures accept in an older issue of Shotgun News. I will try to copy it and see how it comes out.
The G98 was/is a true hand grenade made by Glock for the Austrian military. This was maybe two or three years back. It had a round plastic casing and held 3,000 steel balls (don't remember the diameter) and also had a time select fuse device with two or three delay choices on it. I don't remember what the powder was nor the weight. I never heard of any other country's military adopting it.
Just a little interesting trivia. MTCW! "And now you know the rest of the story."
got the pics?
No, pics as yet. Still trying to find them, but have had family visiting and not been able to do much looking. I will try again.
