Just picked it up. $445 plus tax with GSSF coupon. Looking forward to shooting it next week.
It must be nice.
the Seismic 185G rd fires the best in this gun, about 50% less recoil than the 147G rds. The Seismic 185rd was designed around the G17 so barrel length's are equal
Did you mean G19? The 48 barrel is .3” shorter than a 17 barrel.
Very cool. Congrats! They shoot very nicely!
Thanks! I've heard great things as a G19 carrier since the Gen 3 was released. No plans on optic or light but I like having the options. Ameriglo protector sights first mod. I noticed sight options are limited due to the MOS plate.
Very cool indeed! I'm only so-so on adding a light, especially to a CCW pistol. But I'd put some sort of RDS on that thing. I really wish these were available when I got my 43X.
I really liked mine, and it got me back into Glock (I've bought 3 Glocks in the last 2 months). However, I had to sell my G48 after a month.
Somehow the combination of the Glock grip angle and the thin grip gave me wrist pain on the outside of my wrist. I've never had to sell a gun for something like that before. No other Sigle stacks do this to me. And, I can shoot and hold double stack Glocks just fine. But, everytime I held the gun after I bought it, I got the same wrist pain.
Good luck with yours!
While not exactly in the same boat, I really don’t like how the 48 feels. The grip is too thin and the gun kicks more than it should. I’m going to sell mine as well next month at the show here.
I have given up on these single stack 9mms. The M&P Shield is the only one I like, and I have tried a few. I have a Shield, and I will keep it. But, I cannot say it is my favorite
The only reason I like them is the thinness which in my setup is more concealable and comfortable.
I’ve had several good single stack 9mm:
Colt Lightweight Commander
Smith and Wesson 3906
All of those were bigger than the 43x/48 so physics were different
Those are all metal guns. Those single stacks are a little bigger. It is the polymer single stacks I do not like. I love the metal ones. They are wider, usually, with their grips on.
Blue Label GLOCKs are about the only plus of being a LEO these days !!!!
I'm actually not LEO its through the GSSF membership you get one pistol purchase coupon eligible for Blue Label at the reduced price. I bought it from a LE only dealer in fact.
Nice. Be sure to let us know how she shoots
Yep. Although there is a difference between the true single stack 43 and the wider 43x, just like the 43x is slightly smaller than the 17.
For my part, the 43x/48 fit perfectly and the recoil is manageable and not uncomfortable. I carry my 43x more than the 48 because I’ve yet to replace the OEM sights on the 48.
Likewise, I’m partial to the Sig 938 and Kimber Micro 9s. Smaller than the G48 and in my opinion handle better as well.
These need to get into circulation soon.
They’re out there. I picked up a 48MOS last week and a 43XMOS today. The guy at the shop said they’ve had about 5 each in the last week and normally sell the day it hits the shelf.
