Hello everyone, I am loving this forum and love my glock G45 that I purchased a few months ago. I made a mistake with my glock, and a lot of you will probably be putting palm to forehead. I am pretty much a noob with firearms. I decided to changed out my sights with TRUGLO TFX Pro. It didn't take too long to do this. In my excitement to see what the new sights would look like (again, I am a noob, please forgive if I screw up some of the part names) - I slid the slide onto grip...without putting in the barrel and guide rod. I cannot get the slide to come off. I can slide it back, but when sliding it forward it feels like it is catching on something (yes I did push down the release on both sides). I feel completely foolish. Any ideas on how to fix this would be appricated.

Just pop the back of the slide off and then you will be able to slide the slide forward. Just be careful when you pop the back of because it is under tension. Put your thumb over it as you take it off.
