I brought home my new G44 today. No, this isn’t a thread about the G44, but rather what’s on the paperwork.

I don’t tend to pay much attention to the useless papers that come with Glocks, but the “V1” on the top right corner caught my eye. Has anyone else noticed “Version” marks with Glocks in the past?

    Serial number ADEZxxx.

58Sniper put together a great thread here https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/owners-manual-packet-contents.1746710/ documenting Glock packets and their content with a number 1 through 15 in the upper corner. It looks like that numbering started with the Gen4s.

What you have is the first variance since that system started that I have seen. Would be great to add this packet to the other thread.

The blue label 'M' pistols (at least my G19M) come with a packet marked M-8. My red label G17M came with just a manual. Apparently I didn't add that M-8 packet to the packet list. Updating now. Thanks for the info. @WheelsUp, if you end up opening that packet, I'd love to see some pics of the contents, as well as the date on the manual.

    Manual is English and Spanish.

Of note: the cleaning rod and brush are inside the bag with the lock instead of clipped into the case. And, of course, the Plink 44 sticker is included in the case.

I’m curious what the striker assembly looks like. Is takedown of rear plate the same as other models?

The G44 Manual is very different to the manual supplied with all other Glocks, so it makes sense that they are identifying the owner manual packets that contain the G44 manual.

The fire control elements of the interior of the slide are very similar to the Glocks centerfire counterpart. New style striker block safety plunger and back cover appear to come off as usual.

Glock includes in the lock bag the plastic cleaning rod, jag adapter and a stainless steel brush for the bore. I was surprised by that. That will get rid of lead very quickly obviously.
