My 365 has never done this...I have however had a few 42s do this. I just took them to the gun smith and he got them back to normal.

Your RSA fell into the indentation of the top the trigger guard. With no more tension, your barrel fell and engaged on the takedown lever. Pull the trigger, pull down the takedown lever, and see if you can get it forward. I’m assuming there’s no pulling the slide further to the rear?

Gun is unloaded? If yes, proceed. If no, call gunsmith and tell them you have a loaded gun and the condition it’s in.

Insure gun is unloaded, point in safe direction and pull trigger. Try to takedown like normal. If that fails, and you can push it back far enough, remove the slide cap and striker. The slide should now move forward.

I should have added that I was worried about forcing anything which is why I didn't pull the trigger hard enough. Also when I got the slide off I noticed the guide rod was off skew explaining the problem and why it felt weird.
