I'm interested in lightening my G43 trigger. What are the best options? Thanks.
Ghost edge connector.
Ghost edge connector, IMO, but unless you really know what you're doing, take it to a gunsmith and have it done, they can make adjustments to make it just right (like mine).
As others have said get a Ghost Edge connector for a quick, easy, low cost upgrade. You can also do some light polishing too but I'd just shoot the crap out of it first and then see how the trigger feels. I'm sure aftermarket companies like Zev Tech will be along soon with other improvements.
I e-mailed Glocktriggers asking about a trigger for the Glock 43. They are waiting for Glock to release OEM parts for the Glock 43. As soon as that happens they can produce trigger kits.
Do the ghost edge connector. World of difference.
The Edge connector made a world of difference with my 43. Closing in on 1200 trouble free rounds since I installed it too. I'm not normally the type to mess with triggers, but the trigger pull out of the box was simply unacceptable.
Mine stock was 6lb 11oz. After the edge, it went down to 4lb 10oz.
Ghost edge, mine was close to 8lb it is 6lb now
My G43 trigger pull out of the box was 7.8 pounds. After my gunsmith did his magic its now 5.4 pounds. No aftermarket trigger components used. I am not a fan of the Ghost Edge connector. Too many of my friends have had issues with the Ghost where multiple rounds are fired with one trigger pull. This is my EDC so I need it to preform flawlessly.
This were my exact before and after numbers with just the Ghost Edge connector. Great mod.
I had my gunsmith do my Ghost connector so he could fine tune to exactly 5 lbs for me, shot it for the first time today and love it.
I'm curious of how many of those friends had the Ghost Edge connector in a Glock 43? This is the first I've heard of multiple rounds fired with one trigger pull with an Edge connector in a 43? I understand the Ghost Pro connector needs some possible tuning by a Gunsmith but my Edge connector was just drop in and is performing great after 500ish rounds. Just my experience of course.
I ran 150 rounds through mine today without any issues, if properly installed, I can't see multiple fires happening.
Trimmed a ghost pro and dropped in. Nothing to it with a bastard file. Dropped pull weight substantially. Smooth as silk and accurate. Rides in front pocket with ease.
Ghost Edge Connector and Galloway Precision G43 spring kit in mine. Nice trigger press (~4.5 pounds) with a nearly imperceptible "wall" and a crisp break. Short reset. If you go this route, you MUST train with this because the wall is almost impercibitible and the "break" will sneak up on you!
