I just picked up a new G41.4 with 13 round mags and having a devil of a time getting the 13th round into the mag. Is this normal when new? Will it ease up some with use? Right now I've just stopped at 12 to preserve my thumb (never found the factory loaders very helpful).

New magazine springs can be "stiff". Tend to loosen up over time.

"Save your thumb" - This is a great product:

IMHO - check this product out! I love mine - would not load a magazine without it.

Many places sell them. Just "Google" the name. :)

I have one of every color! I prefer the lime green and orange. The .380 is pink. Easy to find among all the other range essentials. Great tool. Get what you pay for.

I've found with new mags load them fully and let them sit for a week or so. Much easier afterwards

I just picked up an UpLULA and love it. No more sore thumbs. Even has an attachment for unloading magazines if needed.
