G33 - battle to stay out of the cellar - a range report (2)

OK, my G33 is a sample size of one. I have heard lots of good reports from others.
To open the same as the Sigma report:
Listen, everyone has their favorite handgun! But if you make a list, sadly, one has to be at the bottom of that list. (although mine are all kind of "favorite")
Currently, the Sigma and G33 are at the tail end of my list of 357Sigs. The top of the list is dominated by DA/SA decock only pistols, which is my preference.
The main reason these two are at the bottom are reliability issues.

Like the Sigma, I always said I would get new magazines. Finally, I bought two G32 mags. Someone here recommended X-grip adapters when my G31 mags had issues in the G33. I have them on my M&Pc magazines and like them.
So I started with two new magazines WITH X-grip adapters and known good ammo....
First load up was Federal American Eagle - 125g - FMJ and here are the first three shots @ 14 yards (all shots standing/offhand):

Helmet Personal protective equipment Trigger Headgear Airsoft gun

The first shot was the high one. BUT... I had four failures to feed right off the bat - all of the nose-dive variety. OK, I didn't use that magazine again, and the other G32 magazine ran flawlessly with the Federal. The flush magazine also ran without a hitch as did the .40+2 magazine which has, in the past, always been my best performer.
The Federal ammo was accurate too. The first time around the steels, I didn't have a miss until I got out to the knockdowns at 35 yards. I went 3/3 on both 18 yard steels and then this was 3/3 on the gong at 25 yards:

Another three hits on the popper at 29 yards and then it took me two shots each to get the knockdowns at 35 yards!:

From left to right:
The small silhouette 7.2"X 12"
The 8" round steel
The 8" square steel

The next time around, I hit each on the first shot!!

Hit the first seven shots on the 50 yard steel and finished nine-fer-eleven:

Shooting range Recreation Revolver Shooting Sport venue

Totals with federal ammo :
5-6 on round steel 18 yards
6-6 on other 18 yard steel (8" round)
5-6 on the 25 yard gong
5-6 on the popper @ 29 yards away
2-3 on the 8" square knockdown target at 35 yards
2-3 on the 8" round knockdown target at 35 yards
2-3 on the 7.2x12" small silhouette knockdown target at 35 yards
9-11 on the 50 yard steel

Next load up was Precision One Ammunition - 125g - FMJ - another "known good" ammo!
Here are six shots on paper at 14 yards:

Gun Green Trigger Games Recreation

And the first three on steel to the left at 18 Yards:

Ended up going 6/6 on that one.... and here is 6/6 on steel to my right @18 yards:

Games

A couple of pairs there almost on top of each other! Went 5/6 at the gong at 25 yards....but started to falter at further distances. Here was the results stepping out the rest of the way:

3-6 on the popper @ 29 yards away
2-4 on the square knockdown target at 35 yards
1-6 on the round knockdown target at 35 yards
1-6 on the small silhouette knockdown target at 35 yards
3-6 on the 50 yard steel

Every round Fed, fired and ejected perfectly with the Precision One!! Woo-hoo!!

Next load up was Wisconsin Cartridge Corp. - 125g - FMJ (RL). This is kinda known "OK range ammo". I had one failure with my CZ P-09 with it and so-so accuracy.(quoting myself - I would kinda get two shots right in there and then one would stray.)
With the shorter barrel G33, accuracy was poor.

Here are six shot at at 14 yards:

Looks like the one in the 9-ring key-holed!

Plus - OUCH! I had four more failures to feed.... including the other G32 mag and my favorite .40 +2 magazine.
Here are the sad totals for the WCC ammo:

4-6 on round steel 18 yards
2-6 on other 18 yard steel (8" round)
2-6 on the 25 yard gong
0-6 on the popper @ 29 yards away
0-4 on the 8" square knockdown target at 35 yards
0-4 on the 8" round knockdown target at 35 yards
1-3 on the 7.2x12" small silhouette knockdown target at 35 yards
3-7 on the 50 yard steel

Totals for this gun:

1,365 rounds representing 26 loads.

The Sigma has functioned perfectly four outta the last five boxes.
The G33 has only gotten thru four boxes without a stoppage in all 26 offerings!!
G33 has lost the battle and is at the bottom of my list!
Actually, two guns that haven't been out to the range are on the bottom.
Just picked up a HK USPc and a RCM 357Sig barrel....and a G24 (with a KKM barrel coming)!
Have a feeling those two may climb the list tho'....
