Ran into a guy today that can't hit the broadside of a barn with this gun. He was inquiring about trade in value ($300)at the gun shop in town. The consensus was that the ports affected accuracy. I of course kept my helpful mouth shut and flagged the guy down outside. I am going to try trading him my PT1911 which I think he will shoot better.
My G20C shoots like a rifle. It is the greatest most accurate thing I have ever owned.
This is a trigger control issue right? No way is this gun inaccurate.
I would be the victor in the PT1911 trade right?

I just started reloading .357 Sig ands would much rather put 1000 rounds through the G31C than my G33 (OUCH!)

I would trade a Taurus for a Glock. Now if that was a Kimber, Colt, SA or Para I would say no but a Taurus do it:wavey:

31C can have a regular 31 barrel put in.

I love the 357sig round. Hard to believe that a compensated barrel would be to blame. My regular barrel 31 is very accurate. I think you made a wise decision. I have a guy reloading the 357sig round for me and it has taken several trys to get it right. Some of the rounds weren't firing properly and a few even stove-piped on me early on. I think he got it right and I now don't have any problems...

The technique of the shooter will affect accuracy far more than any part of the gun itself. He just isn't used to the gun.

My G32C is a straight shooting laser. I'd trade him in a heartbeat!

Umm... well I'm looking for a PT1911 SS/NO rail at the moment... so which PT1911 is it?

I will end up paying about $600-650 for it brand new out the door after taxes... so I dunno... looks like a straight up trade to me... all GSSF certificates aside and the fact the PT1911 sells used for usually $500-650 depending on model/accessories/mags.

But like if I was going to trade a Glock for a PT1911 that dude better throw in some AMMO or have like 4 mags... or toss me $50 in the deal. Because a gun shop will only give him about what you said like $300-400 for that gun if he's lucky. Private sales always generate more cash for firearms opposed to selling back to a gun shop.

    Make the trade!

The 31 is most likely fine and if not Glock will fix it.
The PT1911 is a great gun to trade away.
