    Hey all,
Went too the range today too maybe layway a G19 Gen 4 ( I have a gen3 G26). They didn't have any. But.....they had a G30sf and I couldn't pass it up. Hopfully I'll have it out in about a month. What's every ones luck with this model?? Has the FTGITB issue been resolved? I was thinking that's been a few years ago right? Anyway loved the feel of the SF. Love my G26..........I'm going Glock nutts!! Except for the SR40 I bought not long ago. It's awsome too but it's still not a glock.

    Thanks for reading. Dave

I do not like the 10 round magazines with oversize base plate, slight pinky pinch.
9 round flush fitting magazines in my 30SF.

    I have a G21sf and a G36, Can't see when the G30sf wouldn't be just as good. I also carry a G26.

I think that you'll like it a lot. It is fun to shoot and, it carries well. Slightly wider at the slide than your G26, and a bit heavier, but I like it just the same. I also prefer the 9-round flush magazines for carry.

I have heard very few complaints about the G30.

30sf rules the roost, until you get a 29sf that is. :)

Get a 9 round mag and add a Pearce G29 baseplate... It gives you pinkie room and reduces the guns grip profile by about a 1/2"... It makes it more concealable while still allowing u to get a full grip! G30SF ROCK!!

Would LOVE a 29sf man, but I have almost a 5 gallon bucket of 45 acp brass to load and no 10mm . That stuff is hard to come by !!! I've always wanted a 10mm but virgin brass is so hi now and I don't like worring about every pcs. of brass that hits the ground and I cant find it.

I get my 30sf in a week or so. First time Glock owner here......my weapon of choice for 10 years was my Sig P220 (1st or 2nd gen I think) but a little bulky to CCW. I had a Walther PPKS and a Smith and Wesson Sigma 40cal that I carried cause my Winchester 1300 was a little too difficult to conceal ;) Any suggestions for accessories or just keep it plain jane for now??

My 30sf runs perfect, and you will find few who have complaints.

I havent had one issue in ~2000 rounds and it is my most favorite shooter. Carry it with the 9 rnd mag when it's not ungodly hot. Got the 26 for those days.

Honestly tho, my favorite pistol. You cant go wrong.

Like what was stated above if you're going to be carrying you might want to look into the 9 round mag. It makes it just a tad more carry-able. Other than that i recommend night sights and after you put a thousand or so rounds through it you might want to look into a new connector to bring down the weight of the trigger pull. I do not recommend changing any internal springs out.

Range training a couple of weeks ago. Since this wasn't APOST quals, I took the G30SF. We had a combat range set up and got to shoot retired patrol units. Shooting in to and out of the cars windows, that was cool. .45 was the only round to punch through the car door.
Shooting through a windshield from inside out, is different. G30SF never had a problem, mulitiple targets to engage, never "pinched" my fingers with the short, 10 round magazines and the 13 rounders worked fine. We fired about 300 rounds of Federal ammo CHAMPION, not one problem, XS Big Dotsights worked fine, too.

I usually carry my G27, but I love the G30... Shoots softer and so very accurate. I haven't heard of many people regretting a G30... Getcha one!
