I have a quick question about the G30 that I was hoping someone could confirm. I was told that I could buy an after-market or stock G29 barrel and mag install it in a G30 and shoot 10mm is this correct? If so does anyone have any experience with doing this and are there any concerns or is it as simple as a 27 to 26 conversion. Thanks for your help.

Not sure about the stock 10mm barrel but an aftermarket work just fine. The 10mm and .45 use the same frame and slide size. IIRC

Thanks scott30. Do you mean the after-market barrel is longer if so how much sticks out of the front of the slide?

The slide is not the same. The frame is. You cannot take a G30 barrel and drop it into a G29. You can take a stock G29 barrel and drop it into a G30......and there will be a bit of wiggle room in the ejection port of the G30 slide. I regularly shoot a stock 29 barrel in a 30 slide.

Order the barrel in the link below and use G29 magazines.
