I can't find these anywhere. Are people just putting 21 floorplates on the mags? If so, do you need to cut any coils off the spring?

You are talking about 9-round mags. They are not using G21 mags.

    Search for "G30 9-round mags"

I prefer the 9 rounder with the G29 Pearce pinkie extension.

Ditto! I carry 10 rounders for backup but the 9 rounder with the Pearce extension is perfection to my hand. Conceals better too.

I have the 9rd mag and PG-29 Pierce Grip extension. They are tight at first getting the mags loaded to capacity, but after a few unload/loads it gets much easier.

In mid-July I ordered two 9-round (Glock) magazines from Glock Store. I received them at my door faster than I could put away my credit card after ordering them. LOL

I like "Flush". I practice all my shooting without using my pinkie so I'm not interested in any mag-extensions. If I need extra rounds, I'll use extended G21 mags.

I'm the same way. I've got a few guns in my collection, and not all of them have grips large enough for all of my fingers. So, I had to practice and learn how to shoot without having to rely on my pinky, and that's why I've only got one magazine extension (a Glock +2 on a G33 9-round mag) total. I carry G21 magazines for spares.

The 9-round magazines are tight, but make a big difference when carrying. Just keep the magazines fully-loaded intially, and they'll loosen up. I do that for all new magazines, and it seems to help out.

That will not reduce the length of the mag.

The 10-round G30 mags are longer than the 9-rounders; the bottoms wrap up around the tube.

And if you really want a treat, put the G36 upper on the G30sf lower with the 9 rounder. Barely bigger or heavier than a G27 with 10 rounds of .45.

I found my 2 9 round G30 mags and happened to have several Pearce PG-29 grip extensions laying around. So this evening I put them on my 2 G30 mags and cannot be happier. This is a great idea and it makes the G30 just that much nicer to handle. In fact, I am ordering some more 9 round mags tonight.

    Thanks

I had to use the loading tool, but after they sit loaded a while they become easier to load.

After I disassembled and de-flashed my problem mags I have no issues loading to capacity with either my 9 or 10 round mags.

How's the G30 shoot compared to the G27? What holster do you guys use during summer while wearing shorts, light summer clothes etc?

I do not like the way the .40S&W recoils and I do not shoot it well. The G30 has a soft push and recoil is more controllable. I shoot the G30 more accurately than most any other pistol. I carry in a MTAC, summer or winter.

I use a Comp-Tac Minotaur IWB holster for summer and winter. Bigger thing with carrying the G30 is having a good holster in combo with a really good reinforced belt to support the weight.
