G29 using a G20 barrel ?

    Can a G29 use a G20 barrel ? Did a search but did not find anything.

    The short answer is no. Lock up Is different. Cannot use a G20 barrel in a G29. I believe that LWD may have a tactical barrel that is longer than 3.78 inches but I may be wrong.

    NOPE.....and save yourself some grief, it took me about an hour to get mine un-jammed !First night I had my G29 home, I had the same idea.

    No sense repeating another's mistakes, that's why we share on here.

    I purchased a KKM precision barrel for my G29 that is 4.45" long. It's not on their website, but if you call, they will likely have it in stock.

    4.45" vs. 4.6" -- Not a whole lot of difference there.

    It works fantastic in my gun and it is a permanent fixture now.

    I now have developed loads that will exceed the Colorado Elk hunting requirements of 550 fpe @ 50y in a compact gun that is concealable with shorts/T-shirt.

    The stock 3.78" barrel will not allow for this due (primarily) to insufficient chamber support.

    Works for me.
