Thinking of getting a G27 for summer carry, already have a G19 and G21sf but want something more concealable. Heard that the .40 is more snappy than the 9mm, never had a opportunity to shoot one, but I want a little more power than the 9. Opinions?

My 27 is my all time favorite CCW.Have it on me right now riding in a Raven Ghost OWB.Can barely tell it's there.I don't notice much more recoil than my 19.I think the 40 being too "snappy" is an urban legend or something. :dunno:

I was a person who tried to steer clear of Glocks if I could because of their ugliness. However, When it came time to search for a sub compact .40S&W, I would have been stupid not to at least consider the 27. My choices came down to the M&Pc .40 the Glock 27, or wait for the new Beretta PX4 Storm sub compact to come out in .40...I am so glad I picked the G27, very concealable and in my opinion sit's on top of the sub compact .40 category, it's a very hard gun to beat in that category. Big fan of the G27 and that is coming from someone who hated the looks of glocks. The only 2 things I would change on the Glock is the glock hump in the rear and the damn finger grooves, the finger grooves apparently were designed for skinny fingers, well let me tell you if you have larger fatter fingers, the sharp points of the grooves almost cut into your fingers. I have not seen pics of the 4th Gen yet, but I hope they make the finger grooves optional as well as the "Glock hump", then the Glock would fit perfectly and would be a dream come true.

Hard to beat the G27 for carrying. Great power, small and conceals, and while it's a little snappy, is definitely controllable and a joy to shoot. As an EDC used along with my G30, the G27 keeps earning it's place in rotation as a small, fun, accurate Glock that's tough to beat!

I carry my 27 99% of the time, it's not bad to shoot. I like shooting this gun as does my 16 Y/O 100lb sister. I cant see why people think snappy recoil is unmanageable.

My friend went and put a G39 on layaway the other day, and I was able to hold it side by side with a G27. The differences for them are small, and holding them is very very similar. You mentioned you wanted something more than a 9, well the .45 GAP is more than the .40. Either way I don't think you can go wrong with the G27, I'm still considering one myself.

I've heard and read the same "it's snappy" comments, but when I tried a G27 equipped with a Pearce magazine extension, I experienced no such reaction. I'll definitely be purchasing a G27 soon.
