I'm trying to replace a friends missing G27 Gen 4 magazine spring (long story, don't ask)...I have an old G19 Gen 3 magazine rebuild kit that has two new springs in it (9 coils)...Is it correct that the G19/23/32 magazine springs are the same springs in the G26/27/33 magazines?

Just to double check, I disassembled one of my G26 mags and it has a noticeably smaller spring (possibly older design?)...I don't want to give this guy the wrong spring and compromise his safety if he ever has to defend himself...

Please save the "Google is your friend" rhetoric, I already tried...

    Thanks!

The same 9 coil spring(part # 2429) is used in the following magazines:
(all standard capacity by the way)

G19-G23-G26-G27-G29-G32-G33-G38-G39 (also G30 magazines with 3955 followers, not G30 magazines with 1304 followers)

The older springs do seem shorter. I don't know if they shorten after prolonged use or if the old ones were just shorter. :dunno:
