I have a G27 and it has a serial number that dates it to 1997. Were there any recalls on them ? I did have one from that period and it did get recalled and I got a new frame with a #1 on the serial number. Is there one for these ? My prefix is CKR . I looked on the Glock serial number research project and I didnt see any .

It was made in 1997 with a prefix of CKR so I am pretty sure that is a Gen 2 . Here it is . It has the "smooth" extractor without the LCI .

Gen 2.5 with no checking in the finger grips...just like mine and another one at my LGS that is trying to get me to buy it due to its "rarity".

I've got a G26 gen 2.5. Good gun no issues.

I noticed that this Gen 2 and my Gen 2 G17 and Gen 2 G30 has : 1. the "smooth" extractor with no LCI .
    2. the patent number on the lower grip
    3. no "blank square" under the forward part of the trigger guard.
Just some observations versus the Gen 3's.

Here are some pictures of it that show the "smooth" non-grip finger grooves. Made in 1997 .

I have a Gen 2.5 from that same era purchased used and I've shot countless rounds without incident. Shoot and be happy. Just sayin' from my own experience not an expert on the subject. Pretty indestructable weapon and a reliable sidearm IMHO

I carry a "BSA" prefix G-27 smooth front every day, they are 2.5 gen named and I would not trtade it for any other Baby Glock for daily carry.
