has anyone used the conversion barrel in their g27 to shoot 9mm?? If so how reliable is it and do all the 9mm mags fit in the g27?

Really considering this as if I buy the 27 I would essential have two guns in one.

Please advise and let me know your experiences.

    Thanks in advance?

I've used a 9mm conversion barrel in a Glock 32. Ran like a champ with no issues. Mags ran fine as well.

9mm conversion barrel & 9mm magazine is all you need.

Lots of us do this. I do it with a g23. I'm very happy with the results. And yes the 9mm mags fit and work fine. The 26 & 27 frame is the same. The difference is the slide, barrel, and some internal parts. Also if you buy a g33 barrel you can shoot 357 Sig.

If you plan on carrying it in 9mm you should change out the extractor and ejector for reliability.

    Good luck and have fun.

The quick answers would be yes and yes. I have both the 9mm and 357 sig barrels for mine and they have both worked with no problems.

If I change out the extractor and ejector can I still shoot 40?

No need to swap extractor and ejector.

I picked up a Lone Wolf, works great -- no issues. All G26 mags work.

The 357 sig is Stormlake, the 9mm is Lonewolf. You can use a Glock OEM 357sig barrel for a g33. I use 9mm magazines with the LW with no other changes and have had no failures in 400 to 500 rds., but I do not carry it that way. Might be fine, but personal preference says no. With the 357 sig I use the .40 mags with the same results. The mags from my G22,G23 & 19 all work for me in their respective calibers. Hope this is a help to you.

I have the AlphaWolf for my G22. It is fantastic. Not only does it look great, but it shoots very well, and I have had zero problems.

Don't change out the extractor or ejector. The conversion barrels are made to use the 40/357 extractor/ejector.

I did but a 26 and returned it the next day for the 27!!

The 27 seems so much more versatile, you can practice with the cheaper 9mm and shoot 40 and 357 what's not to love about that ??

Same size as the 26 just can't afford both , I also have a 19 for home protection , but I really do love the feel of the gen 4 27 with the plus 1 extender and the grip with the g23 mags.

Please explain your comment on just buy a 26?

The amount of $$$ you spend on a conversion barrel, 9mm mags and ammo...then you might as well get a G26.

I got a 40-9 conversion fo my G35 and had so much problems. I got rid of the barrel and bought a Gen4G17. I very content and I don't have to bother with reliability issues.

Roughly $100 to $150 for 9mm conversion barrel, $25 to $35 for 9mm magazine. If you buy a G26 still have to buy 9mm ammo. Cost of G26 $500 to $550. Are we using new common core math? Just wondering.

I agree, I already have a G19 and 6 mags so getting the g27 makes sense and I paid $130 for the barrel and that's it got me a nice 40 cal and a 9mm in 1,

    If u bought the g26 I just have a 9mm.

Glock 27 all the ways and some nice xgrips

I've had a LWD 40/9 conversion barrel for my G27 for about a year. Ran a bunch of 9mm through it using G26 magazines but, have one .40 mag that works with 9mm too.

I have had my G27 for nearly 20 yrs. It is one of my favorite guns, couldn't tell you how many rounds I have put through it. I reload and shoot it more than any other that I have. If you master the .40 it will serve you well. Congrats on the new gun. If you later get the 357 sig barrel it is also a great round (9mm on steroids).
