I had a jam tonight with my Gen 3 G26 using Fed HST 147+P. This is a fairly late Gen 3 with the grey finish. I had some extractor issues when I first bought it. I resolved the issue when by polishing the top and bottom of the extractor...or so I thought. I have fired about 500 rouns since then with no issue. Tonight it jammed with the ammo that I would like to use as my new carry load which is somewhat disconcerting. I was about 5 rounds into my Glock 12 round magazine when it happened. It failed to fully eject the round in the chamber and tried to pick up the next round in the mag. I plan to do a detail strip and clean and try it again. Does anyone have any suggestions to try before I expend more of this expensive ammo?

    1. Try different ammo

    or

    2. Remove the extended mag bases

Sell the Glock, buy something else.

I seem to recall hearing that 147gr bullets can cause feeding problems with the short action on the G26. I haven't had any problems with my old G26 with a wide variety of 124gr and 115gr loads. I don't have any experience with the heavier bullets bot others might.
