So I just took out my bran new G26 that I bought some time ago but didn't get a chance to shoot it until now. I brought two 10 rnd mags and two 12 rnd OEM (not the Magpul) mags. The ammo I fired are as follows:

*50 rnds of Fiocci 158 gr.
*100 rnds of Federal HST 124 gr. (intended carry ammo)
*50 rnds of Winchester White Box 148 gr JHP.
*50 rnds of Magtech 115 gr.

I experienced 1 FTF with the WWB from one of the OEM 12 round mags. I intend to take it out at least one other range session before I start carrying it. Despite the hiccup with the WWB, would you consider this gun good to go? Would you call this a successful range session for the G26?

With a new G26 Gen 4 you need to "beat up the spring" a bit by shooting a few hundred rounds through it . Also buy some Rem Oil spray from WM and spray down the double recoil spring assembly and the guide rod with Rem Oil and then wipe off the excess - then go shoot a few boxes of White Box or Blazer Brass 115gr. (115 gr. just because it's reliable and cheaper than 124 gr. target loads) ... After I did the above I never had another FF to fire , FF to eject , etc. with my G26 Gen 4... Also hit the connector in back with a short burst of Rem Oil to keep the trigger smooth . *Funny , I never use Rem Oil again on the G26 Gen 4 as I'll use Break Free , Weapon Shield or some other CLP when I field strip . But I still give the recoil spring assembly + guide rod a burst of Rem Oil once in a while and then wipe off and it keeps things running smooth and reliably (I believe the PTFE Teflon in Rem Oil is the secret in this recoil spring application) - try it !!

Your 26 will really perform after at least 200 rds thru it. Think of it as the parts mate to themselves on a microscopic level.

I also use the 12 rd mags as backup. I like the 26 so I much I own two of them.

I wonder if the failure to feed was more likely due to the ammo or the magazine.

My opinion/experience, Winchester ammo is crap, avoid it, use better ammo, you probably won't have any problems

But, me personally, I wouldn't consider it good to go yet. That isn't very many rounds and winchester or not it did have a malfunction

If it didn’t bobble with the Fed 124HST, it’s GTG with your chosen ammo.

WB is cheap/weak range ammo and will function better on a gun that’s already been broken in. I always break in a new Glock with 124 NATO spec or +P’s. Best way to break in a new RSA.

Hopefully, everyone will listen to you and I will be able to buy a freak ton of it every time I go to buy some instead of just getting a box or two, here and there.

In I don't know how many rounds of WWB, I've never had an issue with it that wasn't shooter related. Y'all don't buy it...leave it for me.

Thank you for the input everyone! Hopefully it was an isolated incident and that'll be the only issue I ever have with this gun. Will not be shooting WWB anymore and I likely won't be using mags with extensions (even OEM) either as there are other people over the interwebz who complained about issues with Glock 12 round mags in their G26 (not the Magpul ones.)

WWB isn't your problem. My twin daughters each carry a G26 and all we shoot out of them is Walmart 115 gr WWB ball. Stuff works just fine and is consistent. Not too dirty, either.

There's no break in on a Glock, but it may be stiffer, when bran new. I've always just held my Glocks, snug, and used target ammo. No issues so far.

I've heard of plenty of people having reliability issues with WWB through their Glocks. With that said, my experience with it has been largely positive.

Any gun using any ammo can experience a malfunction.
That's why we dry practice malfunction drills a couple times a week both slowly and under time pressure. So if you can properly execute say a double feed in 1.6 seconds or less during dry practice if you have one of those in a gunfight you might survive using any Glock in your possession.
Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.

I put over a 100 rounds just using this TTI eBay knockoff with no problems. The knockoff mag turned into a 15 rounder. The other two mags I used and never had a problem. both had the Pearce +2. I no longer have the 26. I traded it towards for the 19x.

I would not carry your G26 until you shoot at least another three hundred rounds through it. My Gen 4 G26 has been 100% since I got it. Only problem I have is it hurts my middle finger after about fifty rounds.
