Several web sites have this statement:

It is our experience the following work best in most cases:
+0 (6.5) works best on 9/40/357 guns except the 26,27,33
+1 (6.9) works best with 10/45 guns and the 26,27,33

Why is it true that the G26, G27 and G33 would use +1?

    The 2012 Armores book says a 6.5mm rear for 26,27 & 33! That's all I know & the book says that for every change in rear sight hight change = 2.4'' @ 27yds or 25m that's a 6.1mm, 6.5mm, 6.9mm & 7.3mm.

Thanks for the numbers! So, these web sites that recommend the +1 are implying that most shooters shoot the baby Glocks about an inch low at self defense distances? (2.4 inches at 25 meters)

Mechanically I can't wrap my head around this concept. Why would a G26 be any different than a G19?

Or, are these web sites implying that G26 shooters want a different sight picture than G19, G17 etc?
