    I have a G19 and a new G23
I dont know how to tell which gen it is but I bought my 23 new and it has the finger grooves,
my 19 does not have the grooves, I bought that used

question is ...I have aleady swapped the uppers and they fit perfect....just want to know if it will shoot ok without damaging the gun

could I put my 23 upper on my 19 lower and shoot safely w/o damaging the gun?

or my 19 upper on my 23 lower and also shoot ok ?...without causing any damage?

    thanks in advance..

The G23 has finger groves so it is at least a 2nd gen gun. If it also has a rail it is a 3rd Gen gun. Either way, it can be safely converted to a 9/40/357

The G19 is a first Gen gun. You may be able to install the slide but it is not a good idea to do so. This is a weaker frame. Its best left as a 9mm.
