Got my first Glock. Only a couple minor things I'm not crazy about but one thing is really buggin' me. If I rack the slide a couple times or fire it and then remove the slide the rod/spring is just barely hanging on to the barrel. I can push it down at least half the distance of the seat. I took the stock (plastic) rod/spring out and replaced it with a steel one, same thing. I also have a Lone Wolf 40-9 conv barrel and it does it with that barrel too. Is this normal?:dunno:

Yep, perfectly normal. You are good to go. The guide rod is doing its thing as expected.

Thanks JR, I'm kind of a Sig-a-holic but shot my buddies Glock and, well, here I am with a G23 now. Nuff said? Just wanted to be sure everything was good. Thanks again for your quick response!
