    First Post!
I joined this forum to do a little research on the G22. I am thinking about purchasing one. All I've ever heard about Glock is it is THE handgun to own. Anyone, please feel free to share your opinion about the G22. Also, does anyone CC this? It seems as it may be a little too big to carry concealed, but you never know. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

There's obviously a reason why LEO's have this issued; that has to say something about the dependability right? Is there any database I can run the serial number to make sure it is "clean" or just to check the history on it?

Thanks A.F....c.t, do you have a laser or tac lite attached? Is there anything you don't necessarily like?

Glock 22 is nice own 1 right now and had 2 over my life. They are just like the G17 as far as size is concerned. Most ranges will have guns to rent and will have a Glock in there somewhere to fire. If you never shot one before, that would be a good opportunity to try it out. There are some differences over the years as far as the size and the backing. Gen 4's to Gen 3's and earlier. Depending on the size of your hands where you like it or not. Some people either hate the trigger or love it. That can be adjusted too. I would try it and see.

Also have you ever shot the 40 cal before? If you haven't some don't like the kick of the 40 some it is a don't care. You could find some of this stuff at a range trying the guns. Just a thought.

Just picked up a G22 Saturday, tho not my first Glock, my first 40 S&W Glock.

While shooting it for the first time at my gun club, I did some "mix and match" with my G31, no matter how I configured either weapon - slide, barrel and frame, they ran like a Swiss watch.

Both are 3rd Gen but more than 12 years apart in manufacturing date, gotta love that!

I CCW my Gen3 G22 and it works just fine. Great pistol all around.

Carl, If you go to the range and rent some, you might find the 23 to be a good choice as well, a bit easier to carry.

I've shot my friends 22 gen 4 and it shot great. I personally own and carry a G23 gen 4 and prefer that size for most purposes.

I carried a 22 for years and it's a great weapon. CC can be done but it is a bit on the large side IMO. My EDC is a G23 which CCWs very well. Welcome to GT and good luck with the search.

Great gun, the Gen 4 is a softer shooter, doesn't have the sharp kick of the earlier models.
    Got two Gen 4 G22s.

I've got the G22C and the G22RTF2 and love them both, I don't use these for CCW because I have a G33 .357 sig that is really hard to beat for a CCW. But that doesn't stop me from shooting them any chance I get.

I've got two G22's one Gen 2 and one Gen 4. I love them they are great shooters. I do have G23 for a carry gun. Just a little smaller and easier to conceal. Good luck with your search.

I have had my Gen4 G22 almost two years and have not had one iota of trouble with it. I have added a Gen4 Grip Plug(cosmetic reason) and upgraded the recoil spring since Glock was sending them out as a freebie. It is Good 2 Go.

I love my G22, 2,000 rounds within the past two weeks. Yes, this is my duty weapon, so I am staking my life on it!

I also put between 2000-3000 rounds through one of my Glocks without even the smallest problem. I like it so much that I bought two of them.
