could I buy one of the g22 uppers for sale here and run it on my g23 lower with a lone wolf dust cover to take up the extra space? I ran a mag through my g27 with the g23 upper on it and it worked fine.

The locking lugs of the barrels are different. You'd need an extended G23 barrel. There will also be a gap in the dust cover area. Lone Wolf makes a dust cover extension for exactly what you'd want to do. http://lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1099

Edit: sorry I didn't know you already knew about the dust cover. The G27/23 worked because the locking lug dimensions are the same for compact and sub-compact barrels. The full size, competition, and long slide Glocks all share another set of barrel locking lug dimensions.

Thanks for the info. They should have named them transformers instead of Glock I will have 3 guns in 1 when I get my AA .22 kit now I will consider a LS 23. How cool are Glocks.

You can put a factory G32 .357SIG barrel in your G23 and shoot .357SIG too. The only differences between a G23 and G32 are the insides of the barrels, the followers in the magazines, and the markings on the guns. You could get different magazines too to have the correct followers, but you shouldn't have to.

    That's 4 in 1.

I wouldn't see the point though unless you have a craving for .357SIG. It's rarer and more expensive and not much different from .40 in terms of self-defense.

Does anyone have a picture of a G23 with a G22 slide by chance?

I just put my G22 slide on my G23's frame. The gun will not function that way. The trigger would not engage the striker, and the slide hangs off in the front AND back sides. (both Gen 3 guns)

Tried that too just to see. I put my 23 slide on my 27 frame and it functions. Just looks like crap b/c the slide hangs past the frame about 1/2" in the front exposing the recoil spring.

thanks for that info yamatech glad you tried it before I spent $250 on a slide. william I did try my 23 slide on my 27 and shot a magazine trough it and it worked perfect the only thing is like yamatech says the 23 slide hangs past the frame which could be fixed if lonewolf has a dust cover the correct size. I don't know if I would ever carry my 27 with the 23 slide just in case there was ever a problem but its neat to know the gun will function like that in a pinch.

Did you have an extended G23 barrel and the dust cover?
