Can i simply put any threaded(for a can) G17 barrel into the G22 and change the mags for 9mm?
The outside diameter of the 9mm barrel is smaller than the opening in the 40/357 slide. You need a "conversion" barrel and the 9mm mags.
I agree as well.... I suggest using lone wolf conversion barrels....
I suggets just getting a G17: Citizen: Caliber Acedemic?
Pick up a conversion barrel from lone wolf dist.
i wanted to get a threaded though
Can't speak for the supressors but I use a LW 22to9 conversion barrel/mags without a hiccup.
They have threaded barrels as well so as long as your can has standard threads its a stock item - http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=974
K, stupid question but if someone added a sleeve "shim" to the 17 barrel to make the OD equal that of a 22 would it work?
You would end up spending more than the $100(ish) price of a LW conversion barrel along with the amount of time and risk of getting the 'shim' just right. Not worth it to me when a LW conversion barrel is a drop-in replacement that works well with a good company standing behind their products.
