22 WAY TOO BIG! I have a co-worker who has one for his ccw. It's way obvious when in a holster. I'd go with a G30 or maybe a G19.... I have a G23 and its real snappy, I like it but most people do not. Try the 23 and 30 if ya want the bigger round, and the 19 if ya dont care much about the size of the round.

The 22 is a little big for most people/methods. So, yes the 23 would be a better choice for most.

I'm not a big guy by any means and can/have concealed a G22 no problem. A G23 is slightly easier and a G27 is the easiest.

I carry a G19 and wouldn't consider a G17 for CCW. I've got an easy to conceal gun with plenty of sight radious and 15+1 capacity. I see no need to hide a bigger gun.

G22 is just fine for CCW, IF you are dedicated enough to dress around the gun, buy a good holster and a proper gun belt.

I CCW a G17 daily. My wife has a G19 and I have occasionally CCW'd with it. I need the same cover garments to hide a G19 as I do my G17.

I've only CCW'd a G22 during the cold months...I believe its far to big for the warmer, thats why I have a G27 for summer. Sometimes during the winter I toss on the 27 because its alot lighter

my winter carry is a 22 carried in a comp-tac infidel, summer carry is 23 or 27 in the same holster or an OWB. 22 is a bit too big to wear with a t shirt but heavier clothes and a good holster makes it a good option.

W, It will probably depend on your holster "fit" ......myself I like the Bianchi Pro 100 left hand model, carried in the center of my back(IWB) for right hand draw..

That's kind of a vague question. What method of carry do you plan on using? What's your body type? Do you plan on IWB or OWB? How often will you carry and where? All these questions will have a direct impact on your choice.

As a general rule though, the 23 will be easier to carry because of the shorter grip.

I think the 22 would be a little large. Sometimes I feel that my 27 is too large.

These are all critical questions. With a good belt & holster and choice of wardrobe, a lot of people can and do CCW a 22 (I do). That said, my 27 is easier to conceal and more comfortable if I'm going to be sitting a lot during the day.

I carry the 23, but my son will carry his 22. He does dress for it, but summers are tricky, and he's thinking 27 for his next purchase.

I carry it in colder weather and the 23 and 30 in warmer weather

The G23 is roughly 1 inch shorter and 1 inch less tall than the G22 and carries only 2 less rounds. I vote for the G23 but no smaller; I don't like the subcompacts because I don't like my pinky dangling off the grip

In cold weather (like now) I cc my 22 everyday with no problem... I weigh about 180 and stand about 5'11... I carry in a IWB at about 4-430... Never know it's there... In the heat of the summer, when I'm just wearing shorts and t-shirt, it's a bit different- The 27 comes out in the then:supergrin:

It's actually about 1 inch smaller all around... half inch shorter on grip and half inch shorter on barrel.:wavey:
