i read somewhere that a g17 drop free will fit and feed .40 cal out of a g22...is this so? the g17 highcaps are so much cheaper! if anyone has done this, what were the results?

You have heard wrong. In order to work, you must widen the feed lips, rendering the mag useless for 9mm, and possibly change the follower.

I am not sure of the legality of it but from a reliabliity stand point I am not sure if I would trust a mag I had to widen to make work... unfortunately for you the 22 mags will work (somewhat reliable) in a 17.

IMHO spend the extra on the full cap 22 mags or wait for the AWB to sunset and get them later... heck if 10 rounds work for the NYPD then they should work for all of us right...;Q ;T ;I

    Stay safe
