Okay, I finally found a decent deal on a long sought after S&W 310 Nightguard. Now on to the next 10mm!

I already have both a G20 and a G29, but would like something a bit spicier. So I'm thinking I may need a longslide. Who here has one and can answer the following questions:

    1) First of all, was it worth it? (I know this is subjective, but I had to ask.)

    2) Ported or standard?

    3) What kind of performance improvements are you getting (velocity, recoil, accuracy, follow-up shot speed, etc.)?

    4) About how much $ did you dump into your longslide?

    5) Any, "I wish I would have..." thoughts?

If I go ahead with the longslide, I was thinking about having it milled for one of the micro dots, like a Dr Optics. Any input?

Anyone who has pics of their G20 longslide I'd love to see them. Thanks in advance!

LWD is haveing issues making slides that are in spec right now, so buying one is somewhat problematic

that said, it's an uphill climb to get one dialed in and reliable as factory.

    gains
    -velocity
    -weight
    -sight base

    cost
-$700 for the parts plus if you want a RDS on there figure another $700 for that work
-I figured it was gonna be $2200 once it was all said and done PLUS ammo costs to test at each build stage plus (300-500 rounds of various weights per stage), probably 6 months to get everything finished.

I gave up when LWD refunded my money for my LS project. I'll lose maybe 75fps velocity potential. I can live with that.

they do have a nice heft to it but realize you are on the edge of design and things will be finicky until you get it figured out.

    Meat,

I never get tired of looking at photos of that pistol. Sweet. Thou shalt not covet another man's longslide.

Meat, you GOTTA let me know how you got that sweet AK in the PRK. I've been wanting one for a really long time but I'm not crazy about spending the money and only getting a CA legal version. Details! PM me if needed. Ok, hijack over. Stewardesses can return to their drink carts now.
