I mean, before I even pressed "submit." I'm sure it will turn up at the wrong place. I am just asking for suggestions on some good sights for older (under 60) eyes. I have favored Warren/Sevigny Tact or Carry in the past with some success. Never have tried FO but maybe someone can explain to me why I should try them. I wouldn't think the caliber is anything to consider in the choosing process...would you?

Thanks in advance for your input.

I just bought some XS bit dot sights, and really like them. Might be worth looking into for you if your eyes are getting bad. That big dot front sight may make it easier for your eyes to pick up..

Heinie Stright Eights are awesome. I have them on my G29. Caliber does matter. You need to make sure the sights are for a 10mm/.45ACP Glock, not the 9mm/.40S&W/.357Sig version. The rear sight on the 10mm guns are taller than the standard calibers.

Another choice for old eyes would be the Advantage Tactical Sights. They would be great for combat type sights, but I found them hard to align perfectly for target use. They are SUPER fast to acquire, though.

I just tried the Warren competition rear with FO front on my 29 and liked it OK. Out doors with a FO front all you see is the bright FO dot, the top edge of the sight disappears. Indoors the FO front isn't as bright as I had hoped.
I went back to my Heinie Straight Eights, but I'm thinking of adding some bright nail polish to the front to make it more visible during the day.

emore,

I've had TruGlo TFOs installed on two pistols so far: G21 (nightstand, range run) and G26 (CCW.)

I was always a Trijicon fan, but really liked the "pop" that the fiber optics did in daylight, especially on the long slide. Make sure they get the correct height for yours, as they are different for the G20/G21 and everything else.

I also run XS Big Dot sights on my G33, and I really like the fast acquisition, although the two dot setup took a little getting used to compared to the three dot setups I've got. What's really cool is that I can setup quickly either way now.

Good luck on your choice!

I also find my eyes like the TFOs and so far a set of big dots has been good although thr rear sight is now loose.
