The Gen 4 is naturally a SF without any backstraps. Which is how I roll with my 21 gen 4.
No backstraps attached = short frame.

Does glock actually make a gen 4 g20sf. I cant find one but was told by a glock dealer the g20 has extra backstraps to make it the same as a sf.

Yes, I agree with Karambit777... I have a G21 G4 and it is very comfortable to grip without adding any of the larger back-straps (medium or large). All Gen 4 frames are the small grip... it's the back-straps that make the grip either medium or large (since they are pinned over the frame). If you like the features of Gen 4 pistols (grip, mag release, etc.), I would pick up a Gen 4 over the SF IMHO...
My Gen 4 G21 makes me really want a Gen 4 G20. And I already have a Gen 3 G20 that's been to CBC.

The "SF" is a gen 3 designation. However, the gen 4 frame is about the same.

Supposedly it is slightly smaller, I think only in the 20 and 21 models. Yep..tad bit smaller. I don't know the differences off the top of my head but it's small and it's there.
